This one rings the bell...Outstanding!
I can not say enough good things about this tri-color warning/flood/multi-mode light. This is #1 in my book right now. I have the Red/Amber/White tri-color X8/X9. Each color controlled by a dedicated trigger wire. The wires can be activated individually or in combinations, each of which can be set for it's own pattern. You can have Red/White flashing and then switch to steady on white override. Light is bright with 8 diodes for each color as opposed to industry standard 6 diodes. The lens partially wraps around the sides so the off-axis lighting is very good. It's not a 180 degree light but it is still partly visible from almost 90 degrees to the side. Definitely could be used under rear bumper for aux backup light/aux brake light and amber warning. Likewise for the front grill or bullbar/pushbar and for rocker lights above truck running boards. Very bright light. Next closest tri-colors are from SoundOff and Whelen, which both make excellent lights, but both have 6 diodes for each color and both are almost double the price. They each have use in certain applications (i.e., SoundOff is thinnest and can fit under tailgate). The only drawback of X8 is that it does not come in a flush mount. That said, it does come with three separate mounting options, included in the price. Other lights and manufacturers charge extra for additional mounting options. At approx. $60 for for a tri-color, 24-LED light head with good side warning, 7 modes of operation and three mounting options included in price, this light is the best thing out there right now (Jan 2019), hands down. We'll see how they hold up, but I have to say that these lights look, feel and function as high quality lights. If you need this type of light, do not hesitate to order the X8/X9....excellent product!
