Let me start of by saying, I was skeptical, I had looked at this and two other Arrow Bar/Traffic Advisors also available on Amazon, The Lamphus and the STL Striker, I had a couple things I wanted in a light bar, top priority; Brightness. With 3 watt LED's both this unit and the one offered by Speed Tech Lights (STL) boasted 3 watt LED's while the Lamphus only shows to have 1 watt LED's. Second priority; Weather resistance. The E48 and the Lamphus are both weather resistant bars, the STL unit wants to charge for weatherproofing their unit. Lastly; Control unit, I wanted a control unit that had display LED's that show the pattern selected, the E48 and the Lamphus both offer this while the STL light does not. While the E48 IS the highest priced bar out of the 3, I followed the adage of you get what you pay for, so I purchased the E48 because it offers; 3 watt LED's, weatherproof, has the indicator lights on the control unit. I would like to go into details as to the function and output of this arrow bar since I feel their description and video falls a little short, and these are things I was wondering but decided to wing it, glad I did. While this bar may have a limited choice of flash patterns (basically 3 different light arrangements with roughly 3 different actually flashing pattern changes) it DOES offer 5 or 6 different patterns for the traffic advisor functions (that I did know from the description) What I did not know is; You can select a DIFFERENT advisor pattern for EACH advisor function, for example, let's say you want a progressive 8 lights on and progressive 8 lights off for the RIGHT selection, fine, but say for some reason you want the LEFT advisor function to only have the 2 light scan across pattern, you can select that, then, lets say you want the center out pattern to be just 2 single light going center out, you can select that, the part they don't tell you that I find really awesome, You can program 3 different patterns for the 3 different advisor functions! Which ever pattern you set for EACH advisor function will be retained from that point on until you change it, the same holds true for the FLASH function as well. I selected full bar progressive on then progressive off for my left/right advisor, but chose the single light scan for center out, then the 50/50 rapid alternate for a flash function, that's it! those pattern choices are there when ever I select the perspective function. GREAT PRODUCT!
